Over 100 injured in gas Explosions in Ghana

Over 100 people are being treated at Takoradi Port Hospital following two gas explosions that went off Tuesday morning at the Sekondi-Takoradi road, the oil hub of Ghana.




According to Citi FM, eyewitnesses and officials from the Ghana National Fire Service, said the explosion occurred "at about 7: 10 Tuesday morning when a gas tanker discharging gas to another tanker exploded before the second went off around the Total filling station on the main Takoradi Highway.







The injured included five firefighters among several others who were trying to put off the fire.
The exact cause of the explosion is yet unknown.
